faith-based coaching
Liz’s passion for mental performance grew as her Christian faith was taking root. She is passionate about the connection between faith and performance, and she found that her perspective around her own participation in soccer (and now, exercise in general) was its healthiest when she brought God into the picture of her athletic career.
Beyond her own experience, Liz has coached many athletes who desire to bring their Christian faith into the conversation of their sport. Whether discussing athletic identity, motivation, purpose in sport, or relationship with failure, Liz believes there is a direct relationship between God’s desire for His children and how this plays out in sport.
While this is an important facet of Liz’s personal life, she does not impose these beliefs upon the athletes she works with. Instead, she fosters an open conversation in which athletes can share if this is a facet they would like to discuss alongside mental performance coaching.

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” - Matthew 6:33-34
“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” - Isaiah 40:31
“Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.” - 1 Corinthians 9:24-27
